🔭 2022 Gear Overview

Overview

Andromeda November 1 2022 was the last time I able to capture anything. It was over 2 weeks ago and it was about 70°. Since then it has been cloudy and snowing. Daylight Savings Time also changed, so it gets dark earlier. Tonight the temperature was 5° with a windchill of -5°. All day it was mostly cloudy, but it looked like there was a chance to capture some images. Luckily I got many hours of uninterrupted capture time!

Capture Details

Here is what I was able to capture:

  • Darks: 9 @ 10 minutes

  • Lights: 25 @ 10 minutes (4.2 hours total)

  • Bias: 30

  • Flats: 30

Target

I decided to continue capturing Andromeda (M31). There were not many options available in my tiny patch of sky.

Stacking

I added the images I got with the ones from a couple of weeks ago.

This gets me to 5.8 hours of total capture time (not counting the calibration frames).
