đź” 2022 Gear Overview - I know it is 2023, but this hasn’t changed

Overview

We’ve been having some poor air quality this week, but I thought I would risk it. It turned out to be a nice clear night. I was trying to find a good target and my ASIAir had something circled on it. It was the North America Nebular (C20/NGC 7000). I thought I would give it a go. Part of my problem with [M16 August 25 2023]] and [M17 August 19 2023 recently was that they went behind my house in the middle of the night so I could not get a ton of subs. C20 surprised me when I work up in the morning and it was still going strong. I guess I got lucky with where I plopped my telescope.

I was getting sick of the pink/red images I often end up with so I wanted to try something new. I followed this tutorial to simulate that “Hubble” style. This was all done in Siril.

After the past few equipment setup/tear downs I felt like I was getting things down. I could get everything set up in a few minutes. Then today I realized that I have been forgetting to add the counterweight for my tracker. Oops! It seemed to work, but I hope I didn’t stress out the motors too much.
